Support Network

2021

In 2020 I started weaving to process trauma and memories. Once each piece is completed they are joined together as an assemblage of tapestries. Each piece is individual in its materials and memory. Support Network pieces are monochromatic to focus on the duality of materials used and express how memories blend together throughout time. They explore the concept of woven materials, held together with tension and supported in a network of stacked materials as it hangs.

This was installed for CONTINUUM at the Textile Center in Minneapolis, MN from April 19 - July 9, 2022.

Also available to view in the CONTINUUM - Virtual Exhibition.
